The organizing committee has issued a call for poster presentations. Scientists who study plant roots and/or related subjects (for example, plant nutrition, soil microorganisms, water stress, etc.) in Asian countries are invited to present a poster in this symposium.

The presenter must stand by his/her poster for presentation during the poster session. If you are a non-Japan regident and cannot attend at the symposium, see "Mini-poster presentation".

Fee: The presenters will be charged 2,000 yen per poster on site for the expense of the panel.

Publications: A booklet of abstracts (invited lectures, full- and mini-size posters) will be distributed to participants. The abstracts of invited lectures and full-size posters will be reprinted in the JSRR domestic newsletter (Root Research, Vol. 20, No, 4).
The presenters are encouraged to submit a full paper manuscript to Plant Root. The manuscripts will be reviewed by the journal's referees for selection. Please see http://www.plantroot.org/ for the details about the journal.

Abstract submission: Please submit the abstract and author's information sheet as an attached file (MS-Word or RTF file) in an e-mail addressed to root20@jsrr.jp by October 20, 2011.
Download the abstract format file (MS-Word file): Click here!

The abstract must fit on one A4 page (printing area: 23 cm x 16 cm) and written in 12 pt Times font (New Times Roman in Windows PC, etc.). You may make your poster longer than 115 cm (at most 150 cm) to hang the lower part of the poster from the panel, and you may display something at the foot of the panel. We recommend reserving a 20 cm x 10 cm space at the top-left of the poster for attaching or printing the "poster number." The organizing committee will provide you with a "poster number" by October 31, 2011. Please display your poster on the morning of November 6, 2011 (11:00 am at the latest) and remove it after the poster session (14:00–16:00). Please note that poster presenters will be charged 2,000 yen per poster on site for the expense of the panel, and the presenter must stand by their poster and provide presentations during the poster session. If a presenter does not come to the symposium site, their presentation will be considered cancelled and a cancellation charge (2,000 yen) will be applied.
